Jennifer L. Neuman
Jennifer Neuman is a legal assistant at Cross Jenks Mercer & Maffei LLP with over 20 years of experience in Reedsburg. As Attorney Robert K. Ginther’s legal assistant, Jennifer assists with financial institution foreclosures; business collections and small claims; real estate; estate planning; and probating estates. She has worked with Attorney Ginther since returning to the firm in December 2010. Jennifer previously worked at CJMM for 13 years with attorneys Clyde C. Cross, Karen A. Mercer, Wayne L. Maffei and Jerome P. Mercer assisting with various types of law before leaving to raise her family.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys walking, spending time with her family and friends, and watching her nieces and nephews participate in various activities.
Bethany Sleight-Prindle has been a legal assistant at Cross Jenks Mercer & Maffei LLP since July of 2012. Bethany primarily assists attorneys Wayne Maffei and Nicole Marklein in personal injury matters. She additionally assists the firm in bookkeeping.
Bethany received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UW-Wisconsin Madison where she majored in anthropology, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN and an Associate Degree in Accounting from Madison College in Madison, WI.
Bethany practiced in chiropractic clinics in Wisconsin Rapids, Baraboo and Poynette before realizing she was better suited to assisting behind the scenes. She enjoys using her healthcare background to analyze medical records and assist the attorneys with building strong cases for the firm’s clients.
Bethany lives outside of Baraboo with her family. She enjoys photography, reading and spending time outside.
Sara M. Mueller
Sara M. Mueller is a Wisconsin State Bar Certified Paralegal. She graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Legal Studies/Paralegal. She has worked as a paralegal for 12 years. She moved back in the area in 2017 and is currently living in Tomah.
When Sara is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.
Alexis C. Rathkamp
Alexis C. Rathkamp is a Wisconsin State Bar Certified Paralegal who has been with the firm since 2016. Alexis obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Legal Studies Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Alexis works directly with Attorneys Wayne L. Maffei, Nicole Marklein and William Brookley and focuses in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury and labor and employment law. She is a jack-of-all-trades and helps the firm with IT, marketing, event planning and more. Alexis is a member of the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin.
In her personal time, Alexis can be found on the golf course and spending time with her family.
Luann Bass, a lifetime resident of Wisconsin, has recently joined CJMM as a Receptionist. Luann brings many years of Receptionist/Administrative experience to CJMM.
In her time away from work, Luann enjoys spending time with her husband, their 2 dogs and 3 cats. She enjoys reading, camping, going for walks and enjoying the outdoors.
Luann currently resides in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Kari Adams is a Paralegal at Cross Jenks Mercer & Maffei LLP.
She graduated from Western Technical College in LaCrosse in 1999 with a paralegal degree and has worked with law firms and title companies throughout the state as well as attorney Laura Colt in Reedsburg prior to joining our firm.
Kari is married with two children – Connor and Kallie. In her spare time she enjoys being around family and friends, and enjoys attending concerts and sporting events. She is a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs.
When she is not at home, you will find Kari at the baseball field cheering on her son and his teammates.
Laurie Kreul is our Business Manager at Cross Jenks Mercer & Maffei LLP and brings a wealth of experience to the business and administrative side of our firm’s operations.
Born and raised in Northeast Iowa, Laurie has fully adapted to Wisconsin and has been an avid Badger football fan for many years.
After spending many years as a Senior Living Administrator, her yearning for a new challenge brought her into the legal industry. She enjoys the fast pace of our busy law office and feels fortunate to work with a fantastic group of people daily.
Laurie likes to laugh, walk, cycle, read, and spend time with her family. Speaking of family,
she is married to Eric Kreul, who works at Primex in Reedsburg. They have five
children and three grandchildren.
